Summer Weaving Intensive with Suzanne Hubbard

  • Women Hold the Key 9822 SW Gorsuch Road Vashon, WA, 98070 United States (map)

The technology of weaving is primordial while its patterns of integration encode a knowledge which transcends verbal languages. However, poetry can create a bridge between the ways we see (misunderstand) ourselves and a deeper connected self who is manually called forth as we weave.

Poems by Rainer Maria Rilke, Mary Oliver, Pablo Neruda, and others will be read aloud and silently experienced while you weave a small fabric in a frame loom.

Come away with an expanded sense of life and self and sense of belonging.

  • The Weaving and Poetry Intensive is a two hour class

  • No prior weaving experience necessary

  • Materials will be provided

  • $5 materials fee paid directly to Suzanne at start of class
