Annie Hall
Join a group of women to remember Diane Keaton as we watch Annie Hall on Tuesday November 25 at 5:30 at Women Hold the Key's monthly Movie & Supper Club.
"Diane Keaton landed the perfect role as the titular character of the romantic comedy Annie Hall. Framed more like a satire of the rom-com genre, the film starts with comedian Alvy Singer questioning why he couldn’t make his relationship with the nightclub singer Annie work. Through Singer’s memories and fantasies, the foundation of this failed romance is laid out in a way that is equally dramatic and hilarious. The screenplay by Woody Allen and Marshall Brickman was written specifically for Diane Keaton, and it was a perfect fit. Her unforgettable performance with juicy dialogue won her an Academy Award for Best Actress. Keaton’s marvelous charm is on full display in a film where she can be funny, musical, and fashionable with a look you’ll never forget, making this her best performance."
