About our Guest Speaker
Lisa MacLean is the founder of Moxie Media, one of America's most successful political communications, strategy, and design firms. She established her business in 1999 to address a critical gap in political consulting: the absence of women-led firms and lack of accountability for campaign outcomes. She has helped elect candidates to every level of government, including U.S. President, and secure hundreds of victories for women candidates and candidates of color, as well as many historic state initiative wins that have reshaped policy nationwide.
As a member-leader of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), the world's largest community of business owners and founders, MacLean serves as Chair-Elect of its Global Governance Committee and is past president of EO Seattle. She mentors and coaches first-stage entrepreneurs, sharing the systems and strategies that built her business into an institution designed to outlast her.
MacLean's leadership centers on her core values: open-heartedness, full throated-ness, joyful generosity, and family first. At home on Vashon Island, Washington, where she and her husband raised their two children, she serves on the board of the Vashon Maury Island Land Trust and volunteers to help elevate the next generation of political, entrepreneurial, and community leaders.
